Course Objectives The course introduces students to the following topics: philosophy and social pedagogy in the European context; inclusion and exclusion in social pedagogical perspective; democracy and participation as the main concepts of society and social pedagogy; pedagogical relations; understanding didactic in pedagogical work; the notions of cultural and intercultural understanding; communication theories and creative subjects as means of communication; aesthetic processes in social pedagogic work; appropriate strategies, methods and techniques of field research and contrastive analyses.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Understand the main terminology pertaining to social pedagogy;
  2. Define the principles of social pedagogy;
  3. Apply strategies, methods and techniques in the field of social pedagogy.
