Course Objectives This course is designed to provide a foundation of knowledge regarding the main human resource management (HRM) topics, familiarize the student with the major functional areas in the field of HRM, and provide students with opportunities to develop a wide range of HRM and personal skills transferable to various jobs and professions.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Explain the fundamentals of human resource management (HRM).
  2. Discuss HRM practices and their effectiveness from a systematic and strategic perspective.
  3. Apply HRM principles and tools to case analysis and to practical business decision-making situations.
  4. Use a set of transferable knowledge and skills regarding the execution of recruitment and selection process.
  5. Analyze, interpret, and discuss the data collected from the companies regarding a particular HRM topic.
Teaching Methods The methods include lectures (which may involve PowerPoint presentation, video, and audio aids), student presentations, projects, and class discussions.
