Course Objectives This course introduces the students with the theory and practice of written, oral, and interpersonal communication used in the workplace with the emphasis on composing clear, concise, and effective business correspondence.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate writing and speaking processes through invention, organization, drafting, revision, editing, and presentation.
  2. Explain the importance of specifying audience and purpose and to select appropriate communication choices.
  3. Participate effectively in groups with emphasis on listening, critical and reflective thinking, and responding.
  4. Research and write a documented paper and to give an oral presentation.
Teaching Methods The methods include lectures (which may involve power point presentation, video and audio aids), student presentations, projects and class discussions.
