Course Objectives The course aims to equip the students with basic understanding of human development in the life span .The course wil lprovide knowlage about development through life span as well as principles of development, theories and reserach methods that can be used to explain most important issues in development through life span. The students will be able to observe and think critically what “normal” child development means as well as to develop the ability to observe all factors influencing human development.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Define the field of life span development
  2. Identify and explain basic factors influencing human development
  3. Explain and critically analyze different perspectives on life span development
  4. Understand interplay of genetic and environmental factors in development
  5. Describe development during the prenatal period with special focus to teratogenic effects
Teaching Methods Lectures with PP presentations and tutorial classes. Active tutorial sessions for engaged learning and continuous feedback on progress. Team projects and individual task that involve their presentation regarding to relavent topic. Debates in class regarding appropriate subjects.
