Course Objectives This documentary video production workshop emphasizes nonfiction field production.This documentary video production workshop emphasizes nonfiction field production.This course examines the aesthetics and theories of motion picture editing and the technical aspects of digital video editing. Students examine and evaluate editing techniques by watching selected clips and engaging in critical discourse on topics such as linkage, montage, rhythm, timing and continuity.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. demonstrate the ability to research, develop and produce a 10 to 15 minute documentary.
  2. Examine modes and styles of the documentary films "
  3. Analyze and consider camera, types of shots, interview style.
  4. Examine, the preproduction, production and post-production process of the documentary filmmaking
  5. gain production experience working individually and in groups.
