Course Objectives The purpose of this course is to provide an in-depth familiarization with international management by focusing on internal aspects of multinational enterprises, as well as on implementing the firm’s international strategy.
Textbook Cavusgil, S. T., Knight, G., & Riesenberger, J. (2008). International Business: Strategy, Management and the New Realities. Pearson Prentice Hall.
Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Explain the strategies that multinational companies use in an international environment.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of exporting, licensing, franchising, and sourcing.
  3. Perform an opportunity market assessment.
  4. Discuss the business functions of a multinational company.
Teaching Methods The methods include lectures (which may involve power point presentation, video and audio aids), student presentations, projects, case studies and class discussions.
