Course Objectives The course aims at equipping the students with the knowledge of fundamental determinants of Contract Law - special part as a legal science and as a branch of positive law. The students will be able to understand the contemporary Contracts Law, its norms and principles, as well as specific types of nominate contracts
Textbook International Encyclopedia of Laws: Contracts Bosnia and Herzegovina, Genc Trnavci, Wolters Kluwer, 2015. 2. European Contract Law, Materials for a Common Frame of Reference: Terminology, Guiding Principles, Model Rules, Sellier, European Law Publishers, 2008.
Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Understand basic concept specific Contracts
  2. Estimate the importance of Contracts Law and it's relation to other branches of Private Law
  3. Use and interpret sources of Contracts Law
  4. Critically discuss the content of the rules of the Code of Obligations and their need to be revised
  5. Apply specific rules on nominate contracts
Teaching Methods Teaching will be delivered by lectures, tutorials, class discussions and videos. Lectures will provide you with an overview of the law and the key principles/issues relevant to particular topics. After each lecture, and before the relevant tutorial, discussed below, you will be expected to complete independent study including reading of literature, cases, and international legal materials.
