Course Objectives Understanding the significance of the intellectual property law and its basic concepts (patent protection, copyright protection, trademark protection, industrial design protection, protection of designations of origin); practical work with students which would enable them to apply the acquired knowledge; familiarization with rules on the transfer of intellectual property rights; acquiring knowledge on the most important sources of international and EU intellectual property law; acquiring knowledge on unfair competition rules which are relevant to IP rights owners.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Understanding intellectual property and intellectual property law;
  2. Understanding and practically working on cases related to patent law, copywright law
  3. Undersand trademark law;designations of origin and geographical indications
  4. Understanding the process of protecting the right that are related to intellectual porperty rights
  5. Understand industrial design , transfer of intellectual property rights, unfair competition law
Teaching Methods Class discussions with examples. Active tutorial sessions for engaged learning and continuous feedback on progress. Team assigments. Ex cathedra lectures, debate, workshops.
