Course Objectives The objective of the course is to sensitize students to various facets of managing people and to focus on the development of knowledge and skills that all managers and leaders need.
Textbook Dessler, G. (2015). Human Resource Management, Pearson Publishing / The list of required readings will be delivered separately.
Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Explain the role of human resources within the organization, the elements of HR strategy, and how they can be used to develop a competitive advantage.
  2. Analyze HRM situations and strategies to identify opportunities and threats to the organization.
  3. Apply the principles and techniques of human resource management to the discussion of major HR issues and the solution of typical case problems.
  4. Reflect on their personal experiences and observations regarding an HRM topic.
  5. Produce a review paper on a specific topic in the HRM field.
Teaching Methods The methods include lectures (which may involve PowerPoint presentation, video, and audio aids), student presentations, projects, and class discussions.
