| Abstract | Economic freedom is considered to be in the heart of economic development andsustainable growth as it is a must for flourishing entrepreneurial spirit in a country as well asattracting foreign direct investment into the country. Since 1980s, many institutions andorganizations such as Freedom House, the Heritage Foundation, and the Fraser Institute havebeen measuring level of economic freedom across the world. This study analyzes the recent andcurrent situation of Macedonia in terms of economic freedoms. The study compares the recentimprovements in the area of economic freedoms in Macedonia with its neighbors and EUcountries. |
