| Abstract | At present time, the gap between industries anduniversities is rapidly increasing. Fast development of industrycreated this gap, because universities are not able to completelyfollow these changes. Unpredictable fluctuations in industry havemade communication engineering education really difficult, inthe sense of providing well-prepared graduate engineers.Communication engineering education has to be reformed andready to use more advanced technologies. We realized that one ofthe general problems of student`s education is that aftergraduating from their universities, they are not prepared to facethe real life challenges and they are not full skilled to work inindustry. In today’s environment, technical competence alone isnot sufficient for career success. This proposed Communicationcurriculum will decrease existing gap and bring interactive, creative, interesting, effective learning methods, which willinclude online education, virtual labs, practical work, problembasedlearning (PBL) and lectures given by industry experts.Giving short assignments, presentations, reports, research papersand projects students can significantly improve their nontechnicalskills. Also, we included ICT technologies into ourproposed curriculum for teaching and learning methods. Weadded collaborative learning between students through teamwork which builds theirs skills for industry environment. Thegoal of this research is to introduce new communicationengineering curriculum in order to get fully constructed graduateengineer to be ready for real industry work. |
