| Abstract | In this paper, we will examine the concept of transition in the case of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bosnia and Herzegovina has been in a constant process of transition throughout its known history. It is under the influence of globalizing transition epochal events in Europe, but also worldwide. All the most important global trends in the field of change, such as ownership, colonial status, delayed modernization, major demographic and material losses as a product of violent changes, extensive agriculture, violent industrialization with a focus on fundamental industry and mining, unplanned allocation of resources, followed by environmental pollution, etc., can be analyzed within the modern borders of Bosnia-Herzegovina.The war and the ravages of war, which occurred three times in the last one hundred years, “globalized” Bosnia and Herzegovina as the central theme of the negative news of the world: the assassination of the Austro Hungarian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sofia 1914, the highest number of military operations in South East Europe were in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1941-1945) during World War II, and finally BiH ended the twentieth century with aggression by neighbouring countries, which completely destroyed the economic fundamentals of its economy. |
