Course Objectives

- To equip the students with fundamentals of electromagnetic fields important for a proper understanding of antenna theory - To introduce the students with the concepts of antenna theory and design - To introduce the students with various types of antenna geometries and their advantages and disadvantages

Learning Outcomes

After successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of antenna operation

Demonstrate ability to derive basic equations of antennas and antenna parameters
3
Compare and contrast the operation of different types of antennas
4
Practically implement the acquired theoretical knowledge in antenna synthesis (antenna modelling, simulation, evaluation of results)
