Course Objectives This course will introduce students to various approaches to designing and conducting qualitative research. Students will be introduced to how to select and design research projects, and qualitative data collection methods. They will then gain first-hand experience by conducting individual research using the qualitative research method(s) relevant to their projects over the course of the term. Each project will require performing qualitative data collection, analysis, and presentation.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Understand different types of research methods and their major features.
  2. Apply their research skills to different topics in social sciences
  3. Analyze, interpret, and present their findings
