Course Objectives This course is intermediate level course in macroeconomics that develops students' theoretical and practical knowledge of national income accounting, unemployment, inflation, monetary and fiscal policies, central bank and financial system as well as foreign trade and international finance.
Textbook Macroeconomics, 2013, by Olivier Blanchard, Sixth Edition, Pearson
Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate knowledge of macroeconomic concepts by explaining them using appropriate terminology.
  2. Explain macroeconomic theories by analysing their assumptions and differences.
  3. Describe macroeconomic models and relationships among macroeconomic variables.
  4. Discuss current macroeconomic problems by applying theories to concrete cases.
Teaching Methods The methods include lectures (which may involve power point presentation, video and audio aids), student presentations, projects and class discussions.
