Course Objectives The main goal of this course is to introduce students to consumers, consumer behaviour in the market place, and their impact on marketing strategy by discussing the principal factors that influence consumers as individuals and decision makers with an application to the buying decision process.

Learning Outcomes After successful  completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  1. Identify the dynamics of human behaviour and the basic factors that influence the consumers decision process.
  2. Explain how consumer behavior principles influence the buying patterns.
  3. Demonstrate how the main concepts may be applied to marketing strategy.
  4. Reflect on their personal experiences and observations regarding a particular consumer behavior topic.
  5. Analyze and interpret consumer behavior data collected by primary research.
Teaching Methods The methods include lectures (which may involve power point presentation, video and audio aids), student presentations, projects and class discussions.
